Wow I haven't updated in ages. Curse life and it's inept ability to yank me from the wondrous world of Asail. I so miss everyone, and the characters. I'd love to get this place kicking again. (What else is new? X3) If anyone's willing to help me do so, let me know! ^^

Lani woke slowly, the last tendrils of sleep disipating from her mind and she stretched lightly as she habitually reached her mind out to touch Kalth's and see if the Queen was still asleep or not.
However, all thoughts of possibly contacting the Gold were momentarily forgotten as the Junior Weyrwoman became aware of the fact that she was not alone in her bed. Her stretching had been halted by another body, and the Goldrider was suddenly concious of the fact that her head was resting on another's shoulder. Oh shard it. The night before was hazy, filled with thoughts of Kalth. Realization dawned on her. That's right! Kalth had risen!! So who was she currently snuggled up against?
Lani's eyes snapped open and she tilted her head slightly, careful not to wake her mysterious bed mate as she looked at him. Mkah. Lani could have squealed with a mixture of joy and relief, but that would likely have woken the bronzerider, and he looked so peaceful. Thinking back, the woman could vaguely recall him carrying her to the weyr, and then... Mm... pity she couldn't remember much of anything after that. Lani blushed, her eyes automatically seeking her bonded in an attempt to distract herself from the unweyrwomanly thoughts roaming her mind at the present.
Kalth was still sleeping peacefully, and next to her was Akhorth. Any king would have been dwarfed by the queen, but M'kah's bronze looked particularly smaller next to her due to the fact that he was in actuallity no larger than a brown. For reasons unknown to her Lani found the sight rather amusing, and was forced to supress a giggle by cupping a hand over her mouth.
Sitting up, Lani was careful not to bump or move the bed in a way that might wake M'kah. Might as well get up and about, she liked being amongst the early risers of the Weyr. Besides, Kalth may have eaten yesterday but Lani was hungry!
Scooting towards the edge of the bed Lani blinked in the sudden realization that she was naked. She'd been about to pull the fur around her when it dawned on her M'kah was likely in a similar state. Well this posed a problem now didn't it? The woman eyed the room for anything that could be used as a temporary shield to get her to the neccessary, though she spied nothing except a light robe hanging on the wall next to the neccessary entrance. Helpful.
Turning her head the woman's green eyes watched M'kah's sleeping form. The bronzerider was still asleep, so maybe if she was quick about it...
Steeling herself Lani took a deep breath before jumping out of bed and making a dash across the room, her bare feet slapping lightly against the cold stone of the weyr floor. She paused for the briefest of moments to snatch the robe from its hook before disappearing into the neccessary. She'd made it! No one had seen her. Ooh she felt so naughty! Another giggle was suppressed.
Running around in the nude is not very weyrwomanly Lanimine.
//KALTH!!// Okay, so maybe someone had seen her. Though with any luck her queen had been the only one...
As luck would have it however, Kalth wasn't the only one. Having been awakened by her bonded's thoughts of food, a green fire lizard had lifted her head just in time to see Lani run from bed to neccessary. Mitsu blinked and yawned from her makeshift bed amonst a discarded tunic from the night before that had landed on one of the chairs. Lani's or M'kah's, it had made no difference to the green. It had provided a warm soft bed, and that's all she'd cared about.
Stretching lightly she launched herself into the air and flitted into the neccassary after Lani, trilling loudly all the while as she excitedly voiced the giddiness that she sensed in Lani, though it never dawned upon her that the woman had been suppressing said emotion.
((I am in hysterics at the thought of M'kah waking up to see the backside of a naked Lani running across the weyr. XDDDDDDDD
And I couldn't remember how big Akhorth was, so correct me if I'm wrong. ^^;;
Oh, and ignore the title. I'm in a strangely giddy mood this morning... so Lani got thrown into one too and my brain is all perverted and thinking its being amusing so yeah. XD))

M'kah found himself deep in slumber, hesitant to rouse himself from the pleasant dreams that had taken hold of him in the night. But small motions of the bed beneath him pulled him farther and farther from his sleeping state. Surely it was far to early to be waking up? Why was Rios moving around so much? The flitter was usually as slothful as himself.
With one more sudden movement of the bed, feeling like a weight was lifted off, M'kah opened one eye, still unfocused with sleep, just in time to see a pale figure dash into another room. Memory of the previous night washed over him, shoving back the dark, sleep induced haze that clouded his sight and mind. Mitsu's trills further urged him to get up, despite his utter lack of wanting to.
He lay for a moment, just thinking of the previous night. He remembered almost every detail... Would Lani? She had been so sweet... M'kah shook his head with a smile.
Rubbing his eyes, M'kah reached out and touched the link that he held with Akhorth, finding the bronze still sleeping peacefully. The rider smiled at his bonded, thinking of how hard he had worked yesterday. He would undoubtedly be hungry. At that thought, the man's stomach began protesting loudly, demanding that it be filled with something. Always at the mercy of his stomach, M'kah swung his legs over the side of his bed and stood, not realizing that he was just as naked as Lani had been.
Feeling a bit of a draft, he quickly realized his lack of clothing and began looking around for something... But there was nothing in arm's reach of the bed. Mitsu had made a bed of someone's shirt, and where the other's was, who knew? Grumbling, M'kah sat back down, covering himself with the furs as he scanned the room more thoroughly. Ah! There were his pants! ...All the way across the room. Well, Lani was busy, so he could make a dash for it, couldn't he?
He stood and quickly strode over to where his pants lay, quickly pulling them on, and displacing a sleeping Rios in the process. He chattered angrily at the Bronzerider before moving to the bed and curling up in the center. M'kah sighed softly and stretched upward, twisting back and forth. It was far too early to be up. Ugh.
((Heh heh heh... They're in the same boat ^_^ And yes, you were correct about Ak's size ^^ I never came up with specifics, just that he was smaller than your normal bronze. Poor new couple... Such an awkward morning!))

"Mitsu hush!!" The command was a fierce whisper accompanied by two waving arms as the goldrider did her best to silence and apprehend the sudden source of noise.

Silence Little One!
Instantly the green quieted and circled to land on Lani's shoulder only to be chased off with a screech. Bathrobes - especially light ones like the one Lani was currently wearing - were not padded enough to do war with fire lizard claws. Rubbing her shoulder Lani glared briefly at the little green before shaking a finger at her, her voice a light whisper when she spoke.
"Are you /trying/ to wake M'kah up?"
She's already succeeded.
//Is he...?//
He is now. Kalth's mindvoice was filled with amusement as she answered Lani's unasked question. Apparently running around in the nude was epidemic.
Self conciously Lani made sure she was covered properly before running her fingers through her short brown hair, trying to tame the wild and unruly locks - not that her appearance really mattered much considering what had taken place the night before.
Yet another giggle was stifled as her mind came up with a greeting for the bronzerider. Perhaps she'd make him squirm a bit - shuttupbraindon'tpervertthat - before greeting him properly. Yes that sounded entertaining.
Stepping out of the necessary she folded her arms across her chest, hair in disaray, and quickly wiped the grin off her face, replacing it with a scowl, though she couldn't hide the amusement in her eyes.
"You were late."

The sudden sound for Lani's voice made M'kah jump, whirling around to face her with wide eyes. "By the First Egg, Lani, don't sneak up on me like that!" Color creeped up into his face as he wondered how long she had been watching him. "Late? I can't have been too late... Your sharding flitter wouldn't let me sleep longer anyways." he said, facing her scowl with a wicked grin. Rios lifted his head and chittered in agreement. If Mitsu had kept quiet, M'kah may never had woken and taken his warm nest of clothing. But, this new nest was a lot larger... The brown fire lizard stretched out wih a yawn, kneading the bed with his claws, but being careful not to leave any holes.
The bronzerider yawned himself, trying to think of a way to wipe the scowl from his new weyrmate's face. "And who's to say I really was late? I did happen to see someone dashing ino he other room..." he said with an innocent smile. M'kah crossed he room and stood to face the Goldrider, running his own fingers hrough her hair. "I think I was right on time."

Arms still folded beneath her chest the Goldrider watched with barely contained glee as M'kah startled and whirled to face her like a weyrling caught doing something they shouldn't have been. Miraculously she was able to maintain the faux scowl and fight off the urge to giggle once more.
At M'kah's response and grin, Lani unfolded her arms, placing one hand on her hip and raising the other to wag a reproaching finger at the bronzerider, with the intent of explaining to him that it was the flight she was speaking of, not his recent awakening.
However, before she'd manage to half raise her hand, his next statement combined with the innocent smile on his face stunned her to silence before she'd even opened her mouth. The scowl dissipated on the spot and she felt her face flush. It was her turn to go wide eyed as M'kah crossed the room to her, and her half raised hand detoured to cover her mouth. Now who looked like they'd been caught doing something naughty?
As M'kah ran his fingers through her hair, Lani looked up at her new weyrmate. Wasn't the plan to make him squirm? How had he managed to turn it around on her so quickly and catch her off guard? She could have sworn he was still sleeping... Shards.
All she could manage in response was an owlish blink. "You... saw that huh?"
From her resting place next to Akhorth Kalth let out a low amused rumble.

Oh, this was fun. He saw her falter as she fought to recover from his approach. M'kah nodded slowly as he grinned at the woman standing before him. Shards, she's beautiful he thought to himself.
"I didn't see much. Perhaps we could start this all over and try again. I promise, I'll wake up a little earlier this time." he said with mischievous grin.
Mine, perhaps we can eat? I am hungry...
The bronzerider visibly jumped and turned to stare at Akhorth, who was now fully awake. The small bronze's head was up and staring at M'kah, eyes whirling slowly but tinged with hunger.
//I didn't wake you, did I?//
Yes. But the little ones helped.
//Apologies, dear one. We will definitely get you fed today. You are looking a little dull.//
Akhorth grumbled at M'kah's "dull" comment and turned his head away in faux annoyance. He busied himself, nuzzling Kalth's neck gently with his nose.
"Dearest, I do believe that since we are both awake, that a bit of food is on the itinerary for sometime early today." M'kah said, focusing on the woman in front of him once more.
At the mention of food, Rios's head popped up to attention with an inquiring chirp. The little brown began bombarding his Mine with images of meatrolls and such as he took off, zipping around the room.
The bronzerider allowed his head to roll forward, hanging limply with his chin on his chest. "Rios..." he began to whine. "Go find Lanen, maybe she'll feed you. "
Rios slowed and came to land on M'kah's bare shoulders, making the rider wince as his talons pierced the skin of his new perch. Uh-oh, he was likely going to be reprimanded for this... He chirped an apology and adjusted so his claws weren't drawing any more blood.
"Oh, you sharding flitt!" M'kah yelped in surprise as the brown turned his shoulders into pincushions, reaching up and grabbing a now squirming fire lizard. "Calm down, we'll get you all fed." he said with a sigh, placing Rios on a nearby chair. "Well... care to help patch me up?" he asked sheepishly, meeting Lani's eyes.
((I kinda rambled... But making my little trio a bit dysfunctional is fun x) I thought this was going to end up longer, but... I can't ramble anymore >.<))

Lani smiled lightly in response to M'kah's grin, as she continued to try and regain her composure. What little she'd recovered however was promptly lost again at M'kah's suggesstion in accompaniment with the mischievious grin on his face. The Junior Weyrwoman let out a surprised "Oh!", and proceeded to blush bright red. Yes, at some point the game plan had changed and rather than her putting him on the spot, he'd flipped it around on her. It seemed he was enjoying it as well, if the mischievious grin was anything to go by.
The Goldrider was given a bit of a reprise however, when M'kah jumped, and then turned to look at his dragon. Before Lani could ask what was wrong, she recognised the unfocussed look on the man's face as he spoke with his bonded, and then turned to her once more, suggesting they get food.
Ah. Akhorth must be hungry.
I am hungry as well. I would also like to eat. Kalth's pristine voice sounded in Lani's head and she watched the Gold lift her head to eye her rider, as Akhorth nuzzled her neck. This caused Kalth to arch her neck slightly in a manner that made her look quite vain before turning to return the Bronze's gesture in kind.
Lani couldn't help but smirk in amusement at her bonded.
//Just let me get dressed Dearheart... and I told you, you'd get your own bronze eventually.//
Dress now.
A light giggle escaped Lani and she returned her attention to M'kah in amusement. "Sometime early today would be as soon as humanly possible if the bossy and tyranical Kalth has anything to say about it."
That's not soon enough. Dress now. Echoing Lani's statement, the queen spoke to both riders in a tone that, though sounding strict, also held a hint of amusement as well.
Lani laughed lightly at her Gold's command and then smiled to herself as M'kah whined to Rios. He looked absolutetly adorable like that. She'd been about to comment on it, when Rios landed on his bonded's shoulder and caused M'kah to yelp in surprise. Not that she blamed him. Firelizard claws on bare shoulders was not a pleasant experience.
Lani allowed a small smug smirk to grace her features as she pointed to the bed, implying he sit as she turned to retrieve the small med pack she kept in the chest next to it. Opening it she pulled out a small gauze pad and eyed the bronzerider with amusement. "I guess we won't be replaying this morning afterall..."
((I so love Lani and M'kah. They tease each other so much and it amuses the hell out me. XD
And I've just realized I totally spaced Mitsu in that reply. Oops. I'm too lazy to go back through and find a place to fit her in though, so lets not and say we did, and she's still there. *wink*

"Bossy and tyrannical, eh? I hardly believ..." M'kah started before being interrupted by the Queen's demand. Grinning, the Bronzerider bowed as best he could to the Gold from his sitting position on the edge of the bed.
"I concede." he chuckled.
//You sure you can deal with that kind of... Leadership, Ak?// M'kah swiveled his head to face the bronze.
I know I can, Mine. Can you handle Lani's?
The rider snorted his amusement at his dragon's comment. Of course he could handle it. Direction wasn't that difficult to take. Well... Unless it makes no sense, or whatnot... But... M'kah's thoughts trailed away as Lani strolled over to cleanse the stinging scratches from the ever-hyper Rios.
"Well, lets get this day a-going... Send the overgrown flitters out to feed then head to the kitchens ourselves, eh lovely? Perhaps we will find time today to... Start our day over, lets say." he said with a straight face, looking up at the woman. It was taking every ounce of control not to grin at her, and Rios' encouraging chirps from the pillows a couple feet away weren't helping.
I fear my wings will fall off if we wait much longer, Mine. Now what good would I be then? Could you see yourself with a wingless dragon?
Akhorth's hissed his amusement at trying to break his rider's concentration, which worked of course. M'kah ducked his head, laughing as he pictured a wingless Akhorth. "You would look rather silly, Akhorthlove. Now stop it and let us dress so you great lumps can eat!"
((*snicker* Gawd, I'm feeling silly... Took me long enough, but I think this was a rather... funny response xD I crack myself up!))

Having finished cleaning the flitter inflicted wounds, Lani moved to replace the med kit in the chest. Without commenting on the bronzerider's words she moved about the weyr, gathering the clothing she would wear for the day, trying to keep a straight face, and doing her best to avoid looking at the man seated on the bed. A very unweyrwoman like plot had wormed its way into her brain, and she knew that if she looked at him she'd flush bright red and likely dissolve into a fit of giggles before she could carry it out.
Kalth watched in bemused silence as her rider went about her self appointed task, knowing full well what Lani was planning.
Don't forget your boots Lanimine~ They're next to the bed, I can see them here...
Lani had stopped just outside the entrance to necessary, her back to M'kah. The woman did not miss the mischievious tone in her dragon's voice, and a blush crept up her face at its implication. After a moment of silent thought Lani tossed her clothing onto a ledge in the necessary and taking a breath turned to approach the bed, her boots, ... and M'kah.
//Kalth, you are worse than I am.//
An amused rumble was the only reply recieved. The sight of M'kah, already laughing at some private joke between himself and Akhorth nearly caused Lani to get the giggles herself but she somehow managed to keep a straight face for the most part - she was grinning like an idiot.
A giggle threatened to bubble out and she bit her bottom lip, suppressing it and then bent over to kiss the top of M'kah's head. Now or never. He'd said he wanted to 'start the day over'.
"I'm going to get dressed." Straightening, Lani turned and started for the necessary again, though this time she pulled the ties on her robe, letting it slip off her form as she moved. The moment she felt it hit the ground at her feet she made a dash for her destination, streaking naked across her weyr for the second time that day, and darted out of sight. A giggle sounded from the necessary.
