Wow I haven't updated in ages. Curse life and it's inept ability to yank me from the wondrous world of Asail. I so miss everyone, and the characters. I'd love to get this place kicking again. (What else is new? X3) If anyone's willing to help me do so, let me know! ^^

We can NPC any characters missing players for the time being.

Do you guys realize Asail is over FIVE years old? o.o

 An Unpleasant Decision

You are awake now Ph'normine?

The blonde haired rider had only just woken, he'd not even had the chance to open his eyes yet and Onth's mind voice had filled his head. Not a bad wake up call. //Only just. You need something?//

Not particularly...although if mine is willing, I thought we might take a trip to the beach, and I would not object to an oiling.

The brownrider chuckled softly and stretched, his eyes still closed. //Mm...the beach does sound nice, and I think wherries will be fighting thread long before you object to an oiling.
Bespeak Seerth would you Onth? See if T'pin wants to meet us there?
//

I will do so. For several moments the brown was silent. Then, I do not sense Seerth in the Weyr.

The man sat bolt upright, eyes snapping open to stare at his dragon in alarm, all sleep gone from his mind. "What do you mean you can't sense her?! Where is she?!"

I am not sure. Far from the Weyr. The Hold perhaps? Yes. The Hold. She and hers are safe. Do not worry mine.

The Hold? What the sharding hell was T'pin doing at the Hold?! There was absolutely no reason for it. No reason at all. The greenrider was pulling one of his stunts again. T'pin was always up to something. And he always expected Ph'nor to keep him out of trouble, which the brownrider usually did without question.

Rising from his bed Ph'nor made his way over to Onth and patted the brown on the nose in greeting. "T'pin didn't have Seerth inform you they were leaving?"

No. She must have left while I was sleeping. Shall I call her back?

If the greenrider had told Onth where he was going...perhaps Ph'nor would have let it slide. But he hadn't. The excuse that Onth was sleeping wouldn't work. Seerth regularly woke the brown when T'pin needed or wanted Ph'nor for something. Hell, T'pin woke Ph'nor himself more often than not, but neither had informed the brownpair of thier intentions. No, they'd snuck out of the Weyr and gone off without telling anyone.

Ph'nor crossed his arms and leaned back against Onth who was still silently awaiting his rider's answer. It was one thing to sneak off to a secluded section of the beach a good distance from the Weyr. In fact Ph'nor usually accompanied him as it gave the pair a chance to be completely alone. T'pin jumping off to various other areas around the Weyr to explore was bad enough... But the Hold!? And then to not tell him or Onth? Ph'nor knew exactly why too. He would have stopped T'pin from going, so far to the point he'd have had Onth pull rank on Seerth if it had come to it. He knew it. Onth and Seerth knew it. T'pin knew it. So the greenrider had simply not said a word.

"No. No, this time T'pin's simply gone too far. He didn't have the courtesy to at least inform you, he can't expect me to back him on this. Its time he gets caught in the act. Onth. Please inform Lorennath of Seerth's whereabouts."

Are you sure mine?

Was he sure? T'pin would be upset to learn it was him who'd ratted him out. But what of the brownrider's own feelings? What if something had gone wrong and the he and Seerth had been lost between? Forever.
Was he sure? Not entirely... but, it needed to be done. T'pin's stunts were getting out of control, and they needed to be stopped. Ph'nor had known it for awhile, he just hadn't wanted to be the one to do it...but if that's what it had come to, well, so be it. He didn't like it... but T'pin would forgive him eventually...he hoped.

Ph'nor shut his eyes and sighed heavily. "Yes."

It shall be done mine.
Greetings Lorennath. I do not mean to bother you, but Ph'normine wishes me to inform you and yours that Seerth and hers are currently located at the Hold.

<Thank you. I will tell K'not, Onth.> Lorennath sighed. The blue stood, shaking the sand off his wings with an irritated flutter. It'd been a good rest while it lasted, sprawled in the sun outside his weyr and enjoying the break from teaching. Senior Weyrlings all and near being riders, but still may as well be trying to herd flitters for all the trouble it took to get them to fly in formation. No break today though apparently, not with Seerth and T'pin pulling one of their stunts again. Almost always got a pair like that with every batch of weyrlings, who rambled around and did what they damn well pleased. That boy and his green were this year's edition. Well, at least they weren't trying to hunt felines like those two blues a decade or so back. Hold visit, nice and simple. Maybe just visiting old clutchmates.

The blue turned and headed into his weyr- a large shed conveniently near the Weyrling Barracks -and slipped his riding harness off its peg on the wall. <Onth tells me that T'pin's gone somewhere again. Seerth and he are at the Hold.> Lorennath said, trotting back outside. He didn't bother looking back to check if his rider had left his rickety excuse for a desk and its omnipresent paperwork, K'not knew the drill as well as he did. Go to where ever the weyrling had run off to, drag them back, and punish accordingly. Expected K'not to follow him outside, but didn't expect the sharp burst of cursing at the message.

Lorry blinked and twisted his head around to eye his rider curiously. <Why so irritated, K'not? They are only at the Hold.>

"Consider the facts, Lorry." K'not muttered, fitting on the blue's riding harness. "T'pin has gone somewhere without bringing Ph'nor, or getting him to keep quiet about it. So it's not another beach trip. Now, why would one bother to keep a Hold visit secret? Oh, and remember- Seerth's a green." He cinched the last buckle tight and watched the blue expectantly, waiting for when Lorennath figured it out.

Dragons weren't all too skilled with logic, and blues certainly were no exception, but there was over twenty years of being Weyrlingmaster behind Lorry. A few seconds of pondering, and then the already agitated green of Lorennath's eyes streaked orange. <A Search.>

"Damn right." K'not climbed up between Lorennath's neckridges, launching enthusatically into a muttered tirade about "Fool weyrlings. Think just because they can fly in a straight line they can go wandering off wherever they damn well please, whenever they damn well please. Don't see riders pulling stunts like that, but sure enough that's what those weyrlings think they are. I'm a teacher, not a babysitter. One thing to wander off for a bit of privacy now and then or visit your folks at the hold, but going and Searching. We deserve a nicer shed for dealing with crackdust like this..." Lorry tuned his Rider's ramblings out, stepping away from his weyr for a clear take-off.

<If you like, meet us at the Hold, Onth and yours.> the blue said as he sprang upwards, flashing coordinates along with the message. Hardly a necessity, but it was a bit of a habit after years of teleporting lessons to send directions.

And with that, Lorry winked between. K'not's rant was cut off by the nothingness of between, but he'd heard the last bit before blue sky turned to empty blackness. And really, couldn't help but agree. Yes, that green and hers were going to have hell to pay.

Lorennath informs his now mine.

Ph'nor was still leaning against the large brown, his eyes still closed. "Good. Let me know as soon as Seerth is back. Once K'not and the Weyrleaders have finished with T'pin, I'm planning on having a go at him as well."

I will do so mine. You know he will likely not take it well though, he will be expecting comfort from you...

The brownrider stood up straight, tugging at an almost indiscernable stain on the red tunic he wore before turning and scanning the room for his sandles. Ph'nor scoffed at the brown's comment. "If he wanted comfort, he should have thought of that before taking off without telling anyone."

I am sure he did not mean to worry you...

Pulling his sandles from their hiding place beneath his bed Ph'nor straightened and shot his dragon a light glare. "I'm sure he didn't either, but that doesn't belay the fact that he did, and do not stick up for him Onth."

I am not sticking up for him mine, I am simply worried about you. You do not usually get this upset so it alarms me to see you so. I am merely trying to -

"Placate me?" Ph'nor asked with an amused smirk.

Precisely. Onth replied with a light rumble, his mind voice equally amused.

"Well thank you for that. I don't mean to direct my anger at you."

I know mine. I take no offence.

Sighing again Ph'nor pulled Onth's riding straps off their hook and proceeded to begin hooking them onto the brown. Onth had said he wanted to go to the beach, so to the beach they'd go. It would probably be a good idea to cool off before seeing T'pin anyway.

Thank you Lorennath, I shall ask mine. Onth responded to the blue before turning his neck to reguard his rider. We have been given permission to meet Lorennath and his at the Hold if you wish mine.

This information was met with silence as Ph'nor paused in doing up the last two cinches on Onth's riding straps. Was it wise to follow the Weyrlingmaster to the Hold? What would his reaction be upon seeing T'pin? The greenrider would know immediatly why and how he'd been caught. Silently the brownrider finished securing Onth's straps and removing his sandles, swapped them out for his riding boots.

Onth had already moved outside from the comfort of his couch and was silently awaiting his rider. Without a word Ph'nor climbed up the brown's side and settled himself between Onth's neckridges, securing the straps as he'd been trained to before patting the brown in signal that he was ready for take-off.

Opening his wings Onth leapt into the air, his wings taking the pair to a reasonable altitude, not too low, yet not too high, it would not do to catch Kalth's attention, for the flight was still taking place. The Hold?

//The Hold. You have the coordinates?//

Yes. Lorennath gave them to me.

//When you're ready then Onth.//

I go now mine. With that the brown winked between.
